The Christmas season is here. Time for family, friends, shopping, and baking! If you’re tired of the same ol’ sugar cookies, check out these yummy cookies. Not your everyday Christmas cookies, for sure!
These Peppermint Bonbon Cookies are always a favorite at my friend Cynthia’s book club:
A gooey chocolate center and crunchy peppermint – yum!
Something that reminds me of spending Christmas with my family is rugelach.
My mother made these every year. Cinnamon and sugar and nuts; crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside. I love them served warm, with coffee.
I thought these hot chocolate cookie cups were just adorable:
Perfect for a Christmas party or leaving for Santa!
If you aren’t a fan of chocolate, what about these snow kiss cookies?
My mom used to make a similar cookie, but with pecans instead of walnuts. They look great in a jar with red ribbon.

Mmm, Mmm … these all look good, Karen.
My favorite holiday cookies at Mom’s were a peanut butter cookie with the hershey kisses on top AND Russian Teacakes. They looked a lot like the snow kisses you’ve shown, but they were just rolled little balls and did have black walnuts. We started making those when I learned the recipe in Girl Scouts.
Thanks, Cheryl! I love those peanut butter chocolate kisses cookies, too. My mom always made them because my favorite combination is peanut butter and chocolate! Happy Holidays!
