Memorial Day weekend officially kicks off the summer, and most Americans mark the holiday with the traditional BBQ. Our Memorial Day BBQ always includes the staples: potato salad, corn on the cob, hot dogs and buns, sliders dripping in hickory smoked barbecue sauce, crinkle cut French fries, and watermelon slices for dessert. As a foodie, I love trying new recipes and this year, I’ve decided it’s time to offer up fresh new flavor profiles combining plenty of sweet and spicy with the added kick of acid.
And our Memorial Day BBQ wouldn’t be complete without a little red, white and blue dessert treats for the kids!
