We are at last enjoying spring weather, even though the calendar says summer is days away! This time of year is so hectic I don’t often set a proper table, but I do have fun pulling together the occasional table scape. Spring is one of the easiest seasons to experiment with table decor and these simple keys can help you create a gorgeous spring table.
1. Think green. Nothing says spring like greenery and it’s pretty simple to find if you own a pair of pruners. 🙂 Think boxwood (or other shrubbery) clippings, moss, or potted plants.
2. Bring the outside in. When the weather turns warm and Mother Nature is coming to life, it seems fitting to incorporate outside elements on our tables. Birds’ nests, small animal sculptures or salt and pepper shakers are easy to find in your local craft store.
Driftwood, bowls of shells, or this twig vase bring outdoor references to the table as well and are excellent containers fresh flowers, succulents, or other plants.
3. Freshen up with color.
Say goodbye to drab and hello to fresh! Add punches of a single color to your table, or embrace a few. Colorful vases, place mats, or dinnerware can brighten up a simple white or rustic table top.
Or choose fresh flowers for your pop of color…
Whether it’s bright or more subtle, color makes every table feel fresh.
Choose one of these keys or use them all in the same table decor! There are no rules, just what looks pretty and speaks to you of spring. Most importantly, have fun with your table scape! Bon appetite!
