You don’t need a large plot of land to grow a garden. Gardens can be planted in almost any kind of container; on a patio, deck, or driveway; even up a wall! Here are some great ideas for how to garden in a small space.
Herb gardens are perfect for small spaces, because they can be planted in small containers. I created this herb garden in small pots in a vintage-style toolbox. I keep it by the kitchen window and sink, so that it gets plenty of sun and it’s easy to water.
If you don’t have room on the counter, how about on the wall?
Amy from Mod Podge Rocks created this hanging herb garden with wooden boards and mason jars. Vintage seed packets are decoupaged on the board (with Mod Podge, of course!) and the jars are attached to the board with metal tape from the plumbing section of the hardware store.
If you don’t have room inside for a garden, take it outside! How about this pallet garden from PinkWhen?
This project is perfect if you have a small yard or area for planters. With four pots per row, you could grow a lot of plants vertically, without taking up much space!
