I have to admit our breakfast nook area takes some serious abuse. From the baby in the high chair, to the Play-Doh from our toddler, to dogs just being dogs, it gets a beating. All that said, I don’t want a boring utility-type rug in that space.
Breakfast nooks, because of their positioning in your home, lack a defined space. The right sized area rug can really define the space and keep your sanity, if it wears like you need it to. We chose Krauss for our last rug. I loved the transitional nature of the design and I felt like the rug’s texture would hide stains. Yes, I said that out loud. Can you see the big red blotch from my daughters spilled RED Kool-aid? I bet you can’t! My husband didn’t either, apparently, because he failed to wipe up the spill…
Anyway, we’d had this beauty for over a year and half, and it was time to move it into retirement and bring a rookie up from the ranks.
I went with the Chevron in Orange. I have to say I love the way it looks, and I’m already loving the softness of the fibers. That was a quick easy update that didn’t even require begging for help from my hubby! Now that was easy! What do you think? Do you like the update?
how much is the krauss rug in this picture and what size is it?
