Sweet summertime! It’s a wonderful opportunity to freshen up your decor for the season and I love to do this with shades of green. Green is a color that can function as a neutral or be a vibrant accent color — and that flexibility makes it a “go to” color year after year, season after season.
Today I’m sharing some inspiration for incorporating green into your own decor to refresh your home for the summer months. And with so many shades of green to choose from, you’re bound to find one that appeals to you.
Green as a fresh accent. If you’re hesitant to go “whole hog” and repaint a room or purchase a new rug, accents are the way to go. Choose home accessories in your favorite shade (or even a shade you wouldn’t normally select!) or break out a can of spray paint to breathe new life into a tired chair.
Fully embrace the greens. If you already know you want to jump into green with both feet, good for you! Shades of green provide wonderful backdrops and complements to bolder accent colors, such as black, blue, and pink.
