Not only a favorite of mine but also one of designer’s most timeless go-tos, one classic pattern continues to make major appearances in fashion and home décor year after year. I’m referring, of course, to none other than the ever-stylish Houndstooth, otherwise known as Chevron’s classy, older sister.
It’s true that houndstooth has made an impact in fashion — serving as a staple piece to any outfit; but it also has managed to seal its place as a furniture must-have that brings classic elegance to any room. Originating before many of the popular patterns we know and use today, houndstooth has remained iconic, withstanding the test of time. Making its fashion debut in the ’50’s, this design can now be seen in everything from outerwear to skirts, bedding and furniture and yes, even rugs!
