I love this time of year…the weather is cool, the air is crisp, and the leaves are turning beautiful, fiery colors. We start thinking about pumpkins, apples, and other fruits of the harvest.
Here are ways to include harvest-inspired decor and farmhouse touches in your space.
Galvanized pails hung with burlap give a farmhouse feel. Adding faux fall leaves and mini-pumpkins gives it a fall touch.
I filled my antique dough bowl with pumpkins of different colors, textures, and materials.
A trademark of farmhouse style is a mix of materials: wood, metal, and soft fabrics.
To incorporate that style in my dining room, I mixed a wood table with metal side chairs and upholstered chairs at the endsĀ of the table. Soft, floral curtains contrast with the exposed brick.
The easiest way to add harvest-inspired decor is with color. Oranges, reds, and golds are traditional, but add teal or blues as a fun coordinating color.
