Changing just one piece in a room can change the look of the entire room – especially when that piece is as central – literally – to that room as a coffee table.
The coffee table is where we put our feet and our drinks. We use it to store books and movies and even for added seating. There’s a coffee table for every style of decor.
For a rustic look, turn old pallets into a coffee table. Add some chunky casters for an industrial look.
For a more traditional look, try a tufted ottoman for a coffee table. Would you believe that’s a thrift store coffee table with a drop cloth for the upholstered top? Fabulous!
I used an ottoman in our family room, too. It is smaller than a traditional coffee table, so it fit the space perfectly. Plus it provides added seating when we have guests.
Need storage? Try a trunk for a coffee table. We use this coffee table to hold blankets, video games, and books.

You can find crates like this at craft stores. Paint them or stain them and, for about $50 or less, you can make a coffee table!
